Getting the Mutually Assured trophy / achievement is very simple and easy to get. All you have to really do is make one choice in chapter 9 since nothing else really matters for this trophy / achievement.
Close to the end of chapter 9 Ryan & Laura will fall through the floor with monster Chris. In the next scene when Ryan aims the shotgun at monster chris choose NOT TO SHOOT him. This results in Laura not turning back and killing Travis as well as Travis killing Laura with the silver-backed mirror shard getting you the trophy / achievement.
