This request can be found on the wall next to the gondola at the start of chapter 12. To finish it, backtrack through the castle to the area just outside the merchant room to the west of the Courtyard area. Look above the room to the north to find a nest with some yellow paint. Shoot it to get the Scratched Emerald.
