You can start the “Catch Me A Big Fish” request by going through the door on the piece of land to the northwest of the lake in chapter 4.

To finish the quest you will have to go to the southeast of the lake and catch the big fish that you find swimming around the Fishing House. You can do this by throwing the harpoon at it. Once you have caught it, sell it to the merchant to finish the request.
