Getting Gengar on most Pokemon games is sometimes a little annoying than most Pokemon since you can’t get Gengar in the wild and you will have to trade Haunter for him/her to evolve. Luckily in Scarlet and Violet there is an NPC that is willing to trade a Haunter for a Pincurchin. This NPC can be found near the center of Levincia.
Pincurchin can also be found really close to Levincia. Just go to the beach to the south to find Pincurchin (can be a little rare so you may have to walk around a little). Once you have yourself a Pincurchin, trade it for the Haunter that will evolve into Gengar as soon as you recieve it.
