Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl How To Get Mesprit, Azelf & Uxie (Lake Legendarys) BDSP
In this guide we will show you how to catch the 3 Legendary Lake Pokemon Mesprit, Azzelf & Uxie in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.
There are 3 legendary Pokemon that reside in the 3 lakes around the Sinnoh region, these are Azzelf, Mesprit & Uxie!
2 of the 3 are very easy to get, however the 3rd one (Mesprit) can be a bit of a pain to get, here are all the steps you will need to take to get all 3 of these legendary Pokemon!
The first thing you will have to do is advance through the story until you catch Palkia or Dialga (depending on what version of the game you have). Once you have to that you are going to want to return to the island in the center of Verity Lakefront, here you will see Mesprit, but as soon as you interact with the legendary pokemon it will flee, now we can begin the hunt for the 3 legendary lake pokemon!
Mesprit: Let’s get the most annoying one out of the way, Mesprit will move around the map from route to route as we do, so if we enter or exit a route, city or town Mesprit will too (in a bit of a random order), so the first think we need is a way to track the pokemon down and know where he is exactly!
To do this we will want to go to the Poketch Company building in Jubilife City and talk to the guy with the purple shirt, he will now give you the Markin Map app, allowing us to see where the legendary pokemon is at all time.
Now we have the app it makes things a little easier, however the pokemons movements change at random as we move around so the best thing we can do is enter and exit the same routes over and over again until you see the pokemon in the same route as us!
Once we find ourselves in the same route as the legendary pokemon MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR GAME since this pokemon will try and flee as soon as it can.
Now just because he is in the same area as us does not mean there are no other wild pokemon around, so the best way to guarantee that we find him / her is to have the first pokemon in our team under level 50 and then use a repel, this will guarantee that the first wild pokemon we come across in the grass will be Mesprit.
Now like we said before, Mesprit will try and flee as soon as possible, so there are a few tactics we can use here, the first and easiest one would be to just use our recently acquired Masterball, however if you have some patience and do not feel like using your only masterball here you can try using a quick ball, if it fails reload the manual save we made before the battle and just keep trying until you get lucky…
The final option would to be having a pokemon with Shadow Tag that prevents enemy pokemon from fleeing, that way you can just treat it like any other legendary pokemon! However you choose to do this GOOD LUCK!
Azelf: Now we have the hardest out of the way, the last 2 should be easy! For Azelf all you have to do is return to the cave in the center of Lake Valor, you will find the legendary pokemon inside and unlike Mesprit, Azelf will not flee and you can treat him like any other pokemon you are trying to catch! Just remember to make a save before you start the battle since he is a unique pokemon!
Uxie: The final legendary lake pokemon is luckily just as easy to catch as Azelf, in this case just return to the cave in the center of Lake Acuity, save and start the battle!
And that’s it! That is how you catch all 3 of the Legendary Lake Pokemon in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl!
