In this guide we will show you how to get a foreign Ditto from another region to help you get a shiny via the Masuda Method in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl!
If you are hunting for a shiny Pokemon you may be interested in the Masuda method, this involves having a foreign Ditto as the partner of the pokemon you wish to have as a shiny, here we will show you how to get yourself one!
Step 1. Getting A Ditto: First you will have to get a Ditto of your own, this can be done by using the Poke Radar in the grass in Route 218, you get the National Dex & the Poke Radar by registering all the pokemon in the Sinnoh dex and talking to the profesor in Sandgem Town after beating the Pokemon League!
Step 2. Getting A Foreign Ditto: The next step would be to trade your Ditto for a Foreign one, to do this you will want to press the “Y” button in any open area, then select Global Room > Yes, With A Link Code And then enter code 44484448, this is the global Ditto trade code, here you should be able to find someone interested in trading their Ditto, you can check the region of the Ditto by selecting “Check Other Pokemon”! If it’s from a region that is not your own then go ahead and trade!
