The Abbot Vernoff’s Key is needed to get through the last part of the Leprosarium area. Here is how to get it.
From the Leprosarium (Vestige Of Brother Jeremiah), continue through the kitchen area (you will get the key from the knight just outside the vestige building) until you get to the outside area with the 2 doors that require the Abbot Vernoff key. Here, go right to find a courtyard with some stairs. Go up these stairs and enter the building at the top. Go down the hall and enter the umbral realm to find a ladder to continue climbing. Once you get to the catwalk in the middle of the roof at the top, go left and go through the broken wall to enter the tower. Inside, use the wooden beams to drop down to the large room below. Once you drop down, you will find the key on the altar.
