Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores DLC A Friend In The Dark Side Quest Guide
This guide will show you how to finish the "A Friend In The Dark" side quest the Burning Shores DLC for Horizon Forbidden West.

To start “A Friend In The Dark” side quest you will first have to finish the relic ruins. You can find a guide on how to do that HERE. You can also find a guide on how to start this quest HERE.
Once the quest starts, head down the stairs and enter code 117 into the terminal to open the door (you can find the code on a datapad by backtracking up the stairs).
In the next open area, go to the right and push the train cart to reveal a room with a box. Push the box up the hill in the open area to get to the top area. Go down the hall to the left of the locked door and enter the vent to get behind the train cart.
Once you come out the other side, climb across to the opposite side of the room. Here reveal a valve by using your ropecaster. Then, use it to get Gildun up to the top floor by lift.
Go back across and push the cart forward. Then, jump down, push the box into the lift and wait until Gildun to use the valve. Once at the top, push the box up against the cart and climb on top of it to get to the upper level above the locked door. Here, destroy the wall by igniting the firegleam. Inside you will find the key module.
Now, use the key module to open the locked door. Inside use the vent to get to the next room where you have to examine the corpse. Finally, return to Gildun to finish the quest.
