Genshin Impact All Primal Obelisk Locations
In this guide we will show you where to find all 10 Primal Obelisks in the Sumeru Desert region of Genshin Impact.

Below you can find the location of every Primal Obelisk in Genshin Impact. I recommend you finish the "Golden Slumber" & “Old Notes & New Friends” questline first to have access to the areas / waypoints mentioned in this guide! You will be able to turn in the required Sacred Seals at these Obelisks to get chests as well as the "A Well-Trained Achaeologist" achievement once you restore all 10. If you don't have all the seals in the area, these obelisks will mark them on the map (if you need help finding any of the Sacred Seals you can use THIS GUIDE).
Primal Obelisk #1. At the bottom of the cliff on a ruin.
Primal Obelisk #2. From the waypoint shown below, continue on the main path until yo get to a room with 2 cat statues and 2 lifts. Take the lift on the right to go down. In the next room take the lift on the right to go up. Here go right and take the lift down on your right. Now take the stairs all the way to the top to get a final lift that will take you to the hall that will lead you to the obelisk.
Primal Obelisk #3. First you will have to go to the location shown in the screenshot below and follow the female enemy to learn the password. Now go to the mechanism in front of the tomb door and select the first option. Once inside go through the first door on the right to find the obelisk.
Primal Obelisk #4. In the desert in plain sight.
Primal Obelisk #5. On top of the left side of the ruins.
Primal Obelisk #6. Enter the Dune Of Magma and jump down the middle. Then jump down another hole to get to a massive open cave. In this cave go through the door in front of you where the massive statues are to find the Obelisk inside.
Primal Obelisk #7. Start at the waypoint shown below. Then continue in to the next room of the dungeon where you will have to take the door on the left. Then go through the door on your right (the one that opens with a book). Once you get to an open area with a barrier at the other end, drop down below to find the Obelisk.
Primal Obelisk #8. As soon as you enter the main Mausolium go down the lift in the middle of the room just before the sarcophagus room (this lift will only be available once you finish the 2 side quests mentioned at the start of the guide).
Primal Obelisk #9. From the waypoint shown in the screenshot below, head in to the massive open cave. Here go through to the room straight in front of you. Here go left and open the door to find the obelisk (you will need 5 Glinting Components to open it, these are obtained by defeating the mini bosses around Sumeru Desert).
Primal Obelisk #10. Start at the waypoint shown in the screenshot below and drop down to the bottom of the massive open area. Then head through the door at the end, go up some stairs and then go right in the next room to get to the upper floor. Here go right again to enter a room with a chest in the middle. In this room point 2 lasers at the door on the left to open it and find the final Obelisk.
