Genshin Impact All 8 Strange Device & Control Key Locations
In this guide we will show you where to find all 8 Strange Devices as well as the control keys needed to deactivate them. All of them can be found around the Sumeru region in Genshin Impact.

There are 8 strange devices in Sumeru, each one can be found at 1 of the 8 eremite camps. To deactivate them, you will have to find every control key around the camp.
Here are the locations of each device and control keys needed to deactivate them.
Strange Device #1. First drop off the corner of the building next to the device. Enter through the hole to find the first control key. Noe head up to where the tower is and drop through a hole in the corner to get the 2nd control key. Once you have them both, go back to to the device, survive the battle and deactivate it.
Strange Device #2. The first key is found by dropping down the hole covered by the tree to the left of the device. The second hey is found in the open room close to a ladder in the bottom part of the building.
Strange Device #3. The first key is in the lone building to the south-west of the device (just press the lever on the wall to open the door). The second key is in the bottom floor of the big building, through the door straight in front of the device and the final key is in the room directly above it. Just use the ramp in the corner of the room where you get the second key.
Strange Device #4. You will find the first key in the building below the tower, the second key is down a hole found on the same roof as the device and the final key can be found by climbing through the corner of the bottom most building in the area where the device is.
Strange Device #5. Go in to the main building right in front of the device and then take the door on the right to find the first key. The other key can be found in the top most building. You can get in there by going around the back and climbing through a hole in the corner.
Strange Device #6. The first key is found by climbing through the hole in the corner of the building under the device and the second can be found by climbing a ladder at the entrance of the building on your left if you leave the building with the previous key through the east exit.
Strange Device #7. For the first key, go up the staird next to the device and continue straight until you see a hole in the building on your left. Enter the building to get the key. The second key can be found in the little building in the upper area of the camp.
Strange Device #8. The first key can be found in the building to the left of the device. To enter, climb up on to the roof and drop through the hole. The other key is found in the building under the tower. You can get in through a hole in the corner of the wall.
It's worth noting that if you return to the camp where the second device was after deactivating all devices, you will start a secret side quest!
